The creditors of Sir Cornthwaite Rason, who was Premier and nfterwards AgentGeneral for West Australia, somo years ago, have passed a resolution that he bo declared bankrupt. Tho liabilities amount to .£BOOO. The debtor attributes his failure to his.being defrauded by firms now in bankruptcy, nnd to helping others and paying heavy interest on borrowed money. The Official Receiver has stated that the ■ assets aro negligible.
