By Telegraph-Proes Assooiation-Copyrlsht Melbourne, October 3. ■• The Federal High Court , 'Kas reserved judgment in the appeal case of the Melbourne Steam Ship Company against a fino of X 5 and .CIO 10s. costs, for declining to stato, among other things, whether it was directly or indirectly concerned in an alleged agreement with certain colliery and steamship proprietors and what were tho terms of the agreement. The ground of appeal was that the Australian Industries Preservation Act, under which tho case against the Coal Vend was brought, did not apply to questions asked for the purpose of obtaining information for nse in proceedings already commenced against others.
