« :— QUESTION HFiVIVED. One* more tlio question of whethr-r tho trams should run through tho Basin Ilcsprve has been raised. At last night's meeting of tho City Council Councillor W. 11. P. Barber asked if the Tramway Board would be asked, with n view to effecting economy, to tako into consideration the matter of running tho tram track through tho Basin Deservo. The Mnyor said that tho matter was one of policy rather than a question for the board, and if Councillor Barber wished to raise tho auestion ho would have to do it by giving notice of motion,. The matter then lapsed for tho timo being.
