THE FISHING SEASON.
OPENS TO-JIOEROW. , (By Tcleeraph.—Special Correspondent.) Christchurch, September 29. There is every indication of a successful opening for tho fishing season on October 1. Already a number of anglers haw left town for their favourite streams. Reports from variotSi sources nil tend to show that tho iishablo waters are in good order. Unfavourable comment is being made by u certain section of the angling fraternity at the regulations concerning',lake fishing. Tho new regulations pro--hibit (ho use of boats for tingling purposes on certain lakes, and many anglort m the vicinity of the lakes havo goiw to* the oxpenso of purchasing boats during the off season.
