TENDERS FOR TECHNICAL SCHBOL.
OBJECTION RAISED (By Teloeraph.—PrcES AssocMon.) Dunedin, September 20. At a meeting of managers of (he Tedhnical Scliool yesterday tenders for the erection of a now school were dealt with in committee. Tho lowest tender (JC30.059) was sent in by W. M'Lollan, but that furnished by J. ,E. White (£30,999) was accepted. Somo feeling has been aroused over tho decision and a telegram has been sent to Mr. G. M. Thompson, M.P., suggesting that the Government should withhold tho subsidy pending investigation. It is stated that tho Mayor of ono suburban borough which voted £25 to tho fund for tlio erection of tho new building intends to raise objection to payiii" tho money over. "
