Tho entries totalled 1350, this figure constituting a record for tho society. H. l'oylor, Caversham, 70 points, 2. • Piano Solo, amateurs.—Doris Bagley, 175 points, 1; Rita Isaacs, 174 points, 2. Humorous Recitation.—W. Crawford, 1: J. Sight-reading, 18 years and Mildred Emery (DUnedih), 75 points, 1; Miss Ruby Dundon (Dunedin), 72 points, 2. Recitation (for men), amateurs—Win. Crawford (Dunedin), 75 points, 1; Q, Zraxtoii, 72 points, 2. Mezzo-soprano Solo, amateurs.—Miss Maud Pllcher (Momington), 88 points, 1; Miss Edith Keenali (Dunedin), 85 points, 2. . Bums Song, amateurs.—Mrs. Lawford Beeves (Clivistclnixch)' 94 points, 1; Miss Lucy James (Dunedin), 93 points, 2. Impromptu Speech.—Mr. E. J. Tiller, 38 points, 1; Mr. G. M'lntosli, 31 points, 2. Miss O. Burton was awarded the special prizo for the most humorous address in the competition.
