POLICEMAN IN TROUBLE.
COLES COMMITTED FOR . TRIAL.

At the Magistrate's Court to-day, William .Henry Coles, who was until a few days ago a p6lice constable stationed at Nelson, was charged with breaking and entering the premises of Albert Karsten, furniture dealer, and stealing goods valued at .CIO 3s. Accused reserved his defence, and was .committed for trial. On a second charge, of .breaking and entering the tame premises on| n different date, with intent; to commit a crime, Coles was also committed for trinl. Bail wasallowed.
