MASTERTON NOTES.

(By Tclceraph.— Special Correspondent.) Masterton, Si-ptcmber 22. At n meeting of those interested in the poultry industry, held last evening, the following resolution was carried: "That the Minister for Agriculture be urged to send a capable and cx|>erienced man to accompany the shipment of eggs to Vancouver to test, advise, and fully report on same, ns asked, by a deputation to him on August 28, and also to allow those producers who find the supplies of eggs for the experiment to approve of the man who may be sent with tho shipment." The annual repott of the Masterton Chamberpot Commerce,- which is to be presented to the annual meeting on Friday next, states that, despite tho financial stringency, of post years, the town and district are in a sound and prosperous condition. During the year the chamber has performed a number of useful services v chief of which was the securing of a better railway service to tne district.
