SOME WELLINGTON LIQUOR.
TESTING FOR ARSENIC. ' In the annual report of tho Dominion Laboratory (Professor J. S. Mnolaurin, Dominion Analyst) states that a search was made for traces of arsenic in 6ix different brands of beer, but nono could be detected. Among the samples of spirits examined for.tho polico were six bottles of whisky o! different brands, in which refilling- was suspected. A comparison with undoubtedly genuine liqnor of the same brands, it is stated, showed that tho suspicions were warranted, refilling bavin? actually occurred in throo or the cases.
