CREATE A NOW DIOCESE?
OPINION OF BISHOP CROSSLEY. (By Telegraph— Press Association.) Auckland, September 1. Bishop Crossley, interviewed on his return from the south, said: "I was very struck with the whole progress of Taranaki, and with the advance of our work there. I think, however, that it will bo needful to appoint another Bishop to control that part of the country, which should be made a separate diocese." Tho probability is that, the Bishop wiTT, before long, reside at Stratford, which is a convenient railway centre, and will bo even more so when the Stratford-Tau-marunui lino is completed. It has been suggested that tho new dioceso should take in Wanganui, and this town, with its educational advantages, would mako the district an ideal one.
