« SPECIAL BANK FOE STRIKE FUNDS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. August 25, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 25. It is anticipated that the Trades Union Congress will give ehapo to tho trado union bank scheme. Tho bank's (jhief business will be to accumulate tho reserve funds of tho trade unions and provide money at short notice to' enable strikes to be carried on so as to overcomo the obstruction by which tho ordinary banks have prevented the speedy realisation of assets during industrial disputes.
REPUDIATION OF SYNDICALISM, London, August 23. Tho Dock Labourers' Union lias given notice of a resolution to bo submitted to tho Trade Union Congress at Newport instructing tho Parliamentary Committee to secure tho amalgamation or federation of the various unions in tho samo industry, but inviting the congress' to repudiate syndicalism.
