BALLOON ADRIFT AT SEA.

Reports from Santa Monica, California, state that a balloon, carrying four passengers, is adrift over tho Pacific. Mr. linger is piloting the air-craft, which left Snnta Monica, in an attempt to reach Fresno. It met with contrary winds, and was carried out to sea. The balloon disappeared in a fog-bank, and tho gravest fears are entertained. Thero are provisions aboard sufficient for ninety hours.
