ALLEGATIONS OF DRUNKENESS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyricht Melbourne, August 21. At an inquiry regarding tho wreck of the ship G. W. Wolff, at Hummock Island, Bass Straits, one of tho crew declared that tho captain was not sober on the night of tho wreck, and that he had been drunk on several occasions during the voyage from Buenos Ayres. The second mate gave evidence that ho never saw tho captain under tho influence of drink; he never touched it at sea. Witness added that no cast was taken, the lead never having been used.
