VEGETABLES IN.FAIR SUPPLY/ Fruit generally has been in fair supply at the Blair and Allen. Street markets during the week, the supplies including a large shipment from Sydney, although nothing arrived from Melbourne. Two Island shipments also, arrived, but thero was a shortage of Island oranges, owing to the small shipment by the Manuka. The result was that high, values rilled. Choice mandarins are worth 7s. Gd. to Bs. Gd. per case,., and other sorts 'Gs.' to 7s. Messina lemons) brin£ 10s. to 145., and others 10s. to lis.'. Oranges quitted at 7s. Gd. to Bs. Gd., 'and passion fruit at Gs. Id. to Is. 2d. lb.; cucumbers',-.Gd. to 9d. each; and hothouse rhubarb,- Is. to. Is. 2d. per bundle. Vegetables ' have ; been in fair supply only, aiid values have shown an. upward tendency. Choice cauliflowers have been bringing 12s. Gd. to 15s. per sack, and other sorts 7s. to 9s. Cabbage'sell at 4s. Gd. to Gs. for choice, and 2s.' Gd.- to 3s. for other sorts., Carrots, 4s. Gd. to Gs.'; parsnips, is', to Gs.; swedes, 2s. Gd.; celery, ss. to 7s.- dozen; beet, 4s. Gd. to ss. sack; artichokes; Gs. to 7s. cwt.; choice lottnce, Gs. Gd. to Bs. 6d. case; others, 4s. to ss. Onions are very firm, owing to local supply, being finished. A shipment from San Francisco arrived during the week, but no 6alcs are reported vet. Potatoes are from at £G 10s. 1 to £7 per ton; Eggs are worth Is. per dozen.
