The latest wireless message received state that tlio Allan liuer Corsiean, which struck mi iceberg near Newfoundland, and which was reported to be going to Liverpool, is unable to proceed on her journey. The cause is unknown. Great ansiely is felt here.
(K.ec. August IG, 0.25 a.m.) Ottawa, August 15. The Allan Line announces that the Corsican is safe and is proceeding on her voyage. The delay was due to a fog. EIGIITY .MILES OP FLOES. London, August 14. Liners arriving report the presence of exceptional ice in the Atlantic. One vessel encountered one hundred largo bergs, and another eighty miles of floes. Tlio shipping companies are abandoning tho northern track.
