An Equity Court case, in which an extioveriiineiit engineer sought an adjustment of npcouuts in a contract in which lio had been a partner with a contractor in certain public works, drew strong comments to-day from Mr, Justice Rich. Ili-» Honour quoted authorities that in such a case interest, conflicted with duty, and added that it was no part of the duty of a court of justice to aid either tho carrying-out of an illegal contract or tho dividing of the proceeds of it. A person entering into a reprehensible contract of this kind could expect no relief from a Court, of Equity.
