A club for women teachers had been a long-felt want. They have had no common meeting ground, and governesses in private families have been at special disadvantage. There they can coino in contact with other woman teachei'3 as they have never been able to do before. The opening of the club was attended by a great many representative teachers. Its objects were put ljefor© Lady Fuller by Mrs. Sadlier Forstcr, who iu opening the club spoke warmly oa- the need of rest for women who are constantly with children. After the presentation of the office bearers to the guest of honour, afternoon tea was served. Lady Madden and many other sympathisers with the object of the club were among the guests.
