PLUMBERS' LICENSES.
A GOVERNMENT BILL. A Bill will be introduced by the Minister for Labour in a few days to improve tho standing of plumbers. The measuro will contain.proposals on the lines of recent representations to the Government by tho Federation of Plumbers. The principal points raised were that there should be a uniform examination of candidates for licenses conducted by a competent board of examiners, and that licenses should be operative in any part of the Dominion. At present plumbers are given licenses by local authorities, which are valid only in the particular district.
