SUFFRAGETTES SENTENCED.
n FIVE YEARS* IMPRISONMENT. By Telceraph—Press Association—Copyright London, August 7. Gladys Evans and Mary Leigh have each been sentenced to five years' imprisonment on charges of conspiring to caiise bodily harm, and with doing malicious damage. Tho charges refer to the attempt to set fire to the Theatre Royal, Dublin, when Mr. Asquith, the Prime Minister, was delivering a political address there. WILL COMMIT FURTHER CRIMES. (Rec. August 8, 10.30 p.m.) London, August 8. Hary Leigh, on hearing tho sentence, cried, "It is frightful. If I live to come out of gaol,'l will commit further crimes. It is better to bo a convict than roteless."
