THE PROUD SHIELD MATCII. (By TeleErapU.-l'i-csa Association.) Auckland, August 3. On si wet ground nt Victoria }'ark today, the Auckland lacrosse team defeated Wellington by 21 goals to nil. The game was for the possession pf.the Proud Shield, which trophy Auckland will hold until nest season.
