MATCHES POSTPONED. v .When tho brief spell of fine weather which brightened tho last three days of tho week was broken by the sudden advent of an inhospitable southerly about noon on - Saturday, the feelings of the Postponement .Committee of the Wellington Football Association may, be better imagined than described. Saturday after Saturday has witnessed the postponement of championship fixtures on account of tho weather, and last Saturday's chilly and unwelcome visitor must lmvo besh just about the proverbial last straw, so to speak. As much might bo said for the Southerly, surnamed "Buster," which disorganised Saturday's championship fixtures. Only.one mulch was played, tho Hospital-Wanderers match at PorirUa. Two teams—Swifts and Rovers—defaulted by their non-ap-pearance, and their prospective adversaries, Y.M.C.A. and St. John's respectively, were awarded bloodless victories. Tha Thistle-Corinthians, and DiauiondsKamblers fixtures were postponed.

HOSPITAL-WANDERERS. A heavy ground, a greasy ball, and th* biting sou'-easter, were three factors which naturally diminished the enthusiasm of the players in. the Hospital-Wanderers mutch at Porirua. The game was not a very iuterestiu'if one. Wiuidcrcrs played a man short, ami the Hospital men were not called upon to extend themselves. The home team opened the scoro after about 15 minutes' play, Phillips driving the ball between the posts from a corner kick by Elliott. Tho results of tho junior division matches were as follow:— Second Division. Petone, 1; Wadestown, nil. Third Division. Brooklyn, 4; Pctone, 2. JohnsoiivilU>, against Y.M.C.A., scored B goals to nil in twenty minutes' play. y.M.C.A.' then ' thought it was time to stop. Fourth Division. St. David's-JUarists' fixture was postponed. South Wellington defaulted to Johnsonville. Y.M.C.A. B defaulted to Swifts. Fifth A Division. Johnsouvillo defeated Brooklyn by 2 goals to nil. Swanson scored both gcals for tho winners. Marist defeated St. David's by 3 goals to nil. A. Marshall, W. Bowdeu, and L. Byan, scored. Institute, 3; Y.M.C.A., 1. ~ Fifth B Division. St. David's B-Sentoun match, was postponed. Marist's (Thorndon) defeated Y.M.C.V. Bby .i goals to 1. O'Leary, Scanlon, and Finucane scored for the winners. Sixth A Division. Seatoun beat Brooklyn by 3 gonls to 2, School Games. . Hawkestone Marist (5), Thorndon (0). Maranni (9), Thorndon CO). Northlands (0), Poseneath (0). Marist's (Tasman) easily ,'defcated Kilbirnio by 8 to 0. Davis scored a, Jlahoney 3, Callaghan and Andrews 1 each. ' St. Mary's (Blenheim) v. Marist Bros (4th Division). This game was played at Dupna Street Pork, and a keen struggle ended in a draw, 3 all. For Blenheim, R. O'Brien, , J. Nowman, and P. Branton scored, and H. O'Brien, Newman, and O'Connor played best. Fitzgerald, Carmody, M'Carthy, and Boyce were prominent for Jlarist Bros. W. ilutcheson was referee.
