MUNICIPAL LIGHT.
STATISTICS FOR JUNE. According to a return prepared for the. information of the City .Tramways ami Power Supply Committee, tho revenue ot the Electric Lighting Department for the month of June la.st amounted to .£6141, an increase of .£1163 os compared with the corresponding month last year. The working expenses totalled .£2377, or JcW more than last year. After providing for the proportion of tho year's capital charges there is a net credit balance for the first quarter of this financial year of .£4030, as against ,£3505 last year,' an increase of .£1335. During tho "month 140 now connections were made, bringing the total number of connections now in use up to 7039, an increase of 1292 connections during tho last twelvo months.
