Replying in the House of Commons to Mr. Laurence Ginnell (Independent Nationalist M.P. for Westmeath), Mr. Buxton, President of tho Board of Trade, 6aid he was not aware that the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society had failed to keep its engagements., So far as 'the Board of Trade was aware, tho socicty had neither admitted nor denied having lont money to tho directors of tho board, and it could take no action in tho matter.
