PUBLIC WORKS ENGINEERS.
TRANSFERS AND PROMOTIONS. - A number of PuWio Works Department engineers ui tho Auckland district have lately beon fcransforral and promoted. Mr. T. Burd, assistant road engineer at i Hamilton, has been promoted to bo resident road engineer at Taurauga. Mr. G. M. Donaldson, assistant, road engineer at 'Tau range, has been, transferred in the same capacity to To Kuiti. Mr. C. H. Williams,.assistant road engineeir at To Kuiti, has been' transferred to Hamilton ns assistant road engineer. In addition it has been arranged that tho road engineers at New Plymouth, Wangaimi, To Kuiti, and Tauranga shall in futoro act independently of the> railway engineers, and shall, communicate with tho head office direct.
