A protest is to be lodged with the Arbitration Court by a number off Auckland boot manufacturers against the agreement which has to como before th'e- Court for ratification. Objection has been taken that the agreement is not in accord with the rules. The Federation of Manufacturers discussed the matter at a meeting at which .Mi. Pryor was present representing the executive,-which is a party to-tho agreement. A motion was moved thanking, the executive for its amicable settlement. An amendment was moved expressing no confidence in the executive in its action in securing the settlement of the dispute. .The- amendment was ruled out of order, boing a direct negative The motion was lost.
