ASSOCIATION.
THE LOCAL MANAGEMENT. A meeting of the executive of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening, Mr. H. M'Keowen presiding. Mr. F, O'Connell, referee in the Wadesroivri—Swifts Socond Division match, reported having ordered a player in the former team off the field for alleged insulting remarks. It was decided to ask the referee and the player concerned to • attend at next meeting. The Miramar Hockey Club were not granted permission to use Scatoun Park on July 20.
A : communication received from the New Zealand Council asked the committee to consider the question of sending a representative team to Napier dnring Industries Week (August 14 to August 22). —Decided that the Rawke's Bay Association be written to asking if there was a possibility of obtaining a "gate," and what s arrangements could be made for procuring same.
Mr. J. Ferguson, referee in tho RoversDiamonds Second Division match, reported having ordered off a player in Rovers teani for disputing his decision. After hearing both the referee and the player, the committee decided that Martin do suspended for one playing Saturday. On the recommendation _ of the'Bojs' Sub-committee,, it was decided' "that the Fifth A Division teams should play, three rounds; the' Fifth B - Dyision two; the Sixth A three; and the Sixth B Division two. ~
Mr. H. Yeoman has been apponited referee in the Poverty Bay—Canterbury Brown Shield match, to be played at Christchurch on Saturday, July 13. It was reported that tho Wanderers' second division had withdrawn from the competition. It was decided to caution the Swifts senior division team-foT turning out late against St. John's last Saturday. A discussion ensued over the Wednesday delegate holding office on the committee in view of the fact that the midweek competitions had been It was decided that tho delegate in question, bo asked to resign his seat. The .resignation was tendered and accepted. Mr. E. J. Partenden wrote orf lielwlf of shipmates on H.M.S. Pioneer stating that the;! - would be pleased to assist the W.F.A. in promoting a benefit for the Association towards the end of the .season.

Mr. P. Pye-Smith wrote suggesting that certain measures be adopted in regard to raising funds for tho Association. Mr. Pve-Smith was thanked for his letter, which was referred to tho Finance Committee.
FIRST BROWN SHIELD MATCH. '■ On ; their way to Christchurch, wliero they aro to do battlo for the Brown Shield against Canterbury on Saturday next (Jilly 13) the Poverty Bay team will reach Wellington by the Napier express to-niglit and leave for. the south by the Mararoa. Canterbury will be played on .Saturday afternoon, the Poverty Bay team leaving Wellington on Monday evening. Tho visitors play a team representing H.M.S. Pioneer at Wellington on • Tuesday, July 16, and Wanganui at Wanganui on July 18. .
