RUGBY FOOTBALL WELLINGTON RUGBY UNION. A meeting of tho Management Committee of tho Wellington Rugby Union was held last evening. Mr. Iliiles presided. «' Messrs. M'Kenzio (five-eighths), E. Roberts (half), A. AYilson (forward), and Elliott (emergency) have been selected for the North Island representative team. They will leave by tho through train for t Napier on Thursday, July 11, unless they notify that t|iey are unable to do so. A letter was received from the Town Clerk on behalf of the chairman of the Reserves Committee, regarding treatment of the teams who were forbidden to, play on Kelburue Park on Saturday, June 29. The writer stated that the trouble had arisen through tho illness of the permanent custodian. His place last Saturday was being taken by an assistant. A letter was received from the secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union asking that, if possible, Messrs. C. King, W. Kelly, G. Bradley, H. Kelly. R. Irving, T. Rapson, W. Wilson, C. Chapman, H. M'Guire, nnd G. Baskervillo be given 1-t days as from July 3 to showcause why they should not be expelled under tlio rules as to professionalism. Regarding the proposal that a match lie played between the Wairarapa and Wednesday representatives, tho secretary of the Wairarapa Rugby Union intimated that his union ai>e at present unable to fix a date. A representative of the Public Schools Union wrote asking for 20 representative jerseys for the schools' representative team, which is to play against Wairarapa uud Manawatu. The writer also asked that they' might bo allowed to use the Athletic Park when they play these matches on the last Saturday in July and tho . second or third in August. The matches to be by way of a curtain-raiser to the senior matches. Tho request was granted in both eases. ' It was decided- to send a. representative team to Hawke's Bay. It is suggested that the match be played on August 20. It was also decided that the offer of the Bay of Plenty Union be accepted and that a match at Rotorua bo included in tho northern tour. The match to be played on a Wednesday. WEDNESDAY FOOTBALL. At tho Athlotic Park yesterday Oriental beat Artillery by G points to 3. Sandman and Little scored fo rtlie winners nnd Owles for Artillery.

In the Athletic «v. Tramway game tho former team won by a penalty goal (kicked by Motiat) to nil. '
