(From Our Special CorTepondent.) _ — b Tho suggested transfer of the secondary school at Pelouo to the Technical School buildings was again brought up at the last meeting of tho Technical School Board. Tlie Wellington Education Board asked for a copy of the. plans uf the building, in order to ascertain what additions would be required, and it was decided to ask the Education Department, which is in possession of the plnns, to forward them to the board. Tho monthly rally 111 connection with the Hutt Valley No-License League was held at St. Augnslino's Hall this week. Tho chair was occupied by tho Mayor of Petone (Mr. J. W. M'Ewnn). A programme of instrumental and vocal items by Hutt Valley amateurs was much appreciated bv thoso present. ' Tho Hutt Piiver Board haro prepared estimates for the coming year. These will bo considered at the mooting tonight. Tho rates will practically bo t> same as last year. It is understood that now works ,will not lie extensive. Tho pumps connected with the Lower Hutt waterworks, which have been giving trout.lo lately, are to be relioved by the installation of a new pump, which is to arrive by tho lonic nest week.
