EXPERIMENT FARMS.
The Hon. T. Mackenzie (Minister for Agriculture) '-replied to a question by Mr. With- thnt the Government was fully alive'to the advantages to bo derived from the establishment of experiment farms in the South Island, anil had had tho matter under consideration during tlio recess, it was now proposed to establish farms, one each in North Canterbury, South Canterbury, Otugo, awl Southland. A great many properties had been inspected and reported upon, and it was expected that some decisions would .bo mado within a few days. '
