COMMONWEALTH AND MARCONI. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, June 2G. In connection with tho Marconi Wireless Company's action against the Commonwealth Government, for an alleged infringement of patents, an affidavit has been mado on behalf of tho Commonwealth to tho effect that tho Government's opposition to allowing an inspection of tho Federal wireless stations is not hosed on tho pecuniary or commercial interests of the Postal Department, hut solely in the interests of (lie public welfare and of naval and military defence. The Commonwealth intends to patent its process.
