B.v Tclesropti—Press Association— Copyright London, Juno 20. Sir George Reid, High Commissioner for Australia, presided at the Australasian dinner at tho Trocadcro. \

Sir George Reid proposed the toast "Bri-tish-Australasian Trade." In his speech ho pleaded strongly for an extension of inter-Imperial trade, and pointed out that thero was a growing desire m European countries to relax the restrictions at present interfering with the expansion of Australian and New Zealand trado with tho world.

Tho toast was responded to by Mr. Philp, of' Queensland, and Sir Montaguo Kelson.
