THE LOST SUBMARINE.

The battleship Marseillaiso remains at the scene of the disaster to the submarine Vendemaire which was cyt in two during the manoeuvres at Cherbourg with the loss of twenty-six lives. Lieutenant Prioul was commander of the Vendemaire. He is the father of three children.
MESSAGES OF SYMPATHY. (Rec. June 10, 9.5 p.m.) London, Juno 10. The King has telegraphed to the French President expressing his profound sympathy in connection with tho disaster to tho submarine Vendemaire. Mi*. Churchill, First Lord of tho Admiralty, has also telegraphed to M. Dclcasse, French Minister for Marine, expressing the Navy's sympathy. CUT CLEAN IN TWO. (Rec. June 11; 0.25 a.m.) Paris, June 10. The first officer of the battleship St. Louis, which sank the Vendemaire, declares that at tho moment of the collision lie clearly raw the Vendemniro cut in two. The men in her could .only have lived a few minutes.
