Ho said the clief was too stout, and declined his invitation to jump when a boat was being lowered. None of tho passengers were prevented from reaching the boat deck. Mr. Wilding, naval constructor at Harland and Wolff's yards, Belfast, said tho Ti tonic's boats were strong enough to bo lowered with full complements of passengers. MEDAL FOR CAPTAIN ROSTRON. London, Juno 9. Captain Rostron, of the steamer Carpathia, which picked up tho survivors of tho Titanic wreck, has been presented with the Shipwreck Humane Society's gold medal.
