The air race for tho "Daily Mail" trophy, a circuit of London for a distance of eighty-one miles, started and finished at Hcndon. Seven airmen competed. Sopwith, who finished first, in eighty-four minutes, was disqualified for passing a mile within tho mark at Purley. The' gold cup and £250 was therefore awarded to Hamel (98$ minutes).
