Mr. Toft requires 201 out of 226 votes, an analysis of which reveals the fact that he is assured of 120 and Mr. Roosevelt of 10. BOTH SIDES CLAIM A VICTORY. (Rec. June 9, 5.5 p.m.)* New York, June 8. The control of the Chicago Republican Convention is problematic. Both the campaign managers claim a victory. Indications appear to favour Mr. Rooscvolt, whojo forces secured the admission of the press to the convention, although. Mr. Taft's supporters opposed it.
