WELLINGTON HARBOUR.

MEETING OF THE BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board was held last night. There were present: Messrs. R. Fletcher (chairman), M. Cohen, C. E. Daniel!, ,T. G. Hnrkness, J. W. M'Ewen, J. E. Fitzgerald, J. Trevor, W. T. Hildreth, A. Macfarlane, R, C. Rentier, and V. C. Froeth. The bank pass books showed credit balances to current account of JE40,5"1, to imprest account Xl-'ITS 10s., and on fixed deposit, .C 70.000. Tho payments for accounts and wages amounted to .£12,110, and for progress payments on contracts, JilGOl. A resolution from the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce expressing approval of the actions of the Minister for Defence in enforcing tho Defence Act was endorsed by tho Board. It was decided to affix the seal of the board to the consent to transfer of tho Grainger Street Block from Banuatyne and another to Bannatyne and Hunter, Limited.
