SALVATION ARMY.
At the Salvation Army, Vivian Street, to-night, a welcome festival of music and song entitled Die "Festival of Flowers," is to be rendered by Die girls of the Army Girls' Home. The musical demonstration will also be a welcome festival to Lieu-tenant-Colonel and Mrs. Fisher, who have just arrived from Australia to take up Die position of chief secretary fur New Zealand Salvation Army affairs'. The colonel and his wife have done service in the Army's ranks in Canada, and have just been farewelled from the important position of financial secretarv for Die Au-drnlnsinu Salvation Army funds. Mr. Fisher has In-ld the position nf secretary to (lie Australasian Commissioner for the women's res. cue work for some years. It is expected that the new chief secretary and his wlife will be a tower of strength to Commissioner Richards, who,'with his wife, arrives in New Zealand next month.
