The "Sydney Morning Herald" states that Sir Joseph Ward was sounded by Sydney and Melbourne friends as (o whether, if a seat were found for him, ho would contest it at Iho next Federal election on the Liberal side. Sir Joseph Ward did not reply absolutely in the negative, but indicated the possibility that ho would consent in certain events, if assured that the desire was not limited to any one section. (Rec. May 2", 11 p.m.) Melbourne, May 27. The Federal Prime Minister, Mr. Fisher has declined to comment on the statement that Sir Joseph Ward had been urged to enter Federal politics.
