I Tho Portobeilo Marino Fish Hatchery v Board has decided io ask Mr. Anderion , N (curator) to proceed to England to bring \ out n shipment of herring ova. Mr. Anderton will visit a number of hatcheries j in Britain, and also proceed to Norway, ! Heligoland, and any establishments on the Dutch, Belgian, and North French coasts. It is expected that the ova will come out in one of tho large emigrant ships to Sydney, and -then be brought to Port Chalmers. A large etock of lobsters and crabs will also be brought out, and Mr. Anderton will attempt (o introduce such lish as turbot, haddock, nnd cod.
