SIR JOSEPH AND LADY WARD.
PRESENTATIONS' ON THURSDAY. At a meeting held in *ho Chamber of Commerce last evening it was finally decided that Sir Joseph Ward should be presented with an address at the Town Hall on .Thursday next, and that Lady Ward should bo madoa present of a Challon. boudoir grand piano. The address for Sir Joseph Ward will be enclosed in a casket made of New Zealand v.ood. Tho speakers at tho gathering will Iks - tho Mayor (Mr 1). M'Larcn). who will i preside; Mr, H. C. Tewsloy, the chairman ;of tho Executive Committee, who will make the presentation; Sir James Carroll, as an ex-colleague j and the- Hon. J. A. Hanan, representing the Ministry. Jiipp's Band will escort Sir Joseph Ward to the hall, and will play outside the building. Messrs. Maughan Barnett (organist), John Prouse, and J. P. Can , (vocalists) will provide music during the i gathering. Admission will'be free.
