THE GORSE NUISANCE.
VALUE OF PROPERTY DEPRECIATED. Some awful stretches of gorse country are to be seen when riding through to Brunswick, says our travelling correspondent, describing a journey from Wanganui. Unfortunately, he adds, in years gone by this gorso has been too much neglected, and has got out of hand. As an instance, the ■writer says:—"l know cf ono farm there valued at £12 per acre, but on tho large area of gorso the value was put at Ji2 per acre. Tho labour and expense of getting rid of it had so much reduced its value.
