SOCIALISTS' ATTACK CONDEMNED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Berlin, May 19. The newspapers 6ay that the intemperate language used by Socialists in the Reichstag respecting the Kaiser's indiscretion at Strashurg evaded the real issue, though the Literals and Radicals denounce the Chancellor's defence as in- ' sincere. Herr Schneidemann, Socialist member, speaking in the Reichstag, declared that the Kaiser regarded incorporation with Prussia as the worst punishment he could inflict on an insubordinate province. It was equivalent to penal servitude, loss of civil rights, and degradation to the lowest rank in the federal system.
