The executive will also move that the Validation of Lands Act. be so altered eo as fo permit of all improvements of whatever nature made to land, and ako capital value, on a five per cent, basis, c-f any special rates paid on such, land for roading, etc., being reckoned as improvements.
A motion will bo tabled by the Te Roti branch that all Xat.ivo lands shall be placed on the same fooling for tnxalion purposes, both local and general, and at the expiration of the West Coast* leases all lands not required for Iho Xafiv-es' own use be purciia-ed by Ihe Government and leased to Kuropeaiu with right of purchase. The T'atea branch will move that the conference urge upon the Government the necc.s>ity of providing more on the. railways so as to better provide for (he requirements of the farmers and public generally, inoro especially i\h regards tlie delivery of metal for roads, which is at present almost impossiblo to obtain.
