"B.P.S" VISIT.
ORDERS FOE PARADE. I It has been arranged that the Officer Commanding the District (Colonel E. W. C. Chaytor) will command the parade of senior and junior cadets and boy scouts, to be held on Newtown Park on May 30, in connection with the visit of Lieuten-ant-Cieneral Baden-Powell. All boy scouts who are also members' of senior cadet companies, will be allowed to parade as scouts. The parade will also count towards qualifying service for senior cadets and senior "scout-cadets," under the Defence Act as a half-day parade. Major H. H. Browne, X.Z.S.C., will act as staff officer for duties in connection with the parade, his assistants being Captain H. M. W. Richardson and eecond Lieutenant R. G. Purely.
The Wellington detachment "R.N.Z.A., under Major Hume, will assemble at tho Park at 1 o'clock, to maintain tho route and keep the parade area clear. The senior cadet battalions will assemble at the Park at 2 o'clock, also the junior battalions, the junior cadet bantl from Weraroa, and the boy scouts, tinder Scoutmaster M'Leod. General Baden-Powell will arrive at the saluting base at 2.30. There will be a royal salute, followed by* a scout rally as greeting to the chief. The march past will take place at 3 o'dock, in column, and then an advance in review order, tho ceromony concluding wilh cheers for the General, Neither at this parade lior at the one on King's Birthday will any carriages be allowed on the Park, except those of his Excellency the Governor, the Prime Minister, Minister for Defence, and the Mayor.
The following senior cadet battalions will be on parade :-*•
No. 1 Battalion (Major Mafheson), composed of Wellington College Cadets (three companies), St. Patrick's College Cadets (two companies), Boys' Institute (one company). and bovs from the Now Zealand training-ship Amokura. No. 2 Battalion (Captain G. E. Simeon), composed of the Technical School Cadets, St. Vincent's Cadets, Boy Scout Cadets, Y.M.C.A., Mount Victoria, and Brooklyn Cadets.
No. .1 Battalion (Captain Redmond), St. Anne's, St. James's, Newtown (two companies). Kilbirnie, and Thorndon Cade's. No. i Battalion (Cantain G. T. Hall), Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt. Johnsonvilje, Petone. Petone Technical School, and Karon Cadets.
