Sir,—l ,T.)i truly sorry to know Mr. Tregoar lias put the put on the retail greengrocer, letting the public know how the poor grower only gets lid. n sack for cauliflowers while tho greengrocer gels about Ms. per sack. I wonder both the Mayor and Mr. 'J'regear do not got into a business so profitable. As Mr. M'Laren states: "I have held I he- sales account in my hnml, .and can vouch for the Gd. a sack cauliflowers." It is a pity the Mayor did not see or smeil such a sack. I have seen plenty during my short stay iu business. If Mr. M'Laren, also M,V. Tregcar, will send me their address I will, on the first chance, send them a bag of this eril-smclliiig rubbish free of cost. I also enclose price paid by mo in to-day's auction for cauliflowers, 13.'. i>er sack. It is easy for the Mayor and Mr. Trcgear to learn the truth it the? wish to—l am, etc C. N. LEWIS.
