A young man named Stewart Good pleaded guilty to-dny ..to two charges of stealing registered postal packets in June, 3911, the properly of the Postmaster-Gen-era!. In one case a registered loiter vrea delivered at the house where accused was staying. He received and signed for i(, and annexed the contents <£i). In the other case, while at the port office at Runciinan, ho look advantage of the postmistress's absence from the- office to abstract three- registered letters from the mail-bag which the postmistress had left while she was fetching scaling wax. Subsequently (rood went to Sydney, and was arrested. On his return he was committed to tiie Supreme Court for sentence.
