Welling on must be played before June 8.-On the motion of Mr. Luckio it was decided to write to the New Zealand Association and state that it was impossible to .play Taranaki before Juno 8 owing to the fact that the Wellington Association had already zrranged l«-«iid a team t° Auckland and Hawke's Bay. Further, it was decided to inform tho New Zealand Association that WeHiH>rton claimed the right under Kule 8 to negotiate with Taranaki regarding tho date of challenge match. Messrs. Gendall, Lnckie, and Organ we're appointed a sub-committee to report on the proposed alterations to tho rules of the Referees' .
