Now York, April 18. Owing to fog the- Carpathia. has been steaming at reduced speed. x > She is expected to dock at 1 o'clock in the morning. Vancouver, April 18. The United States Navy Department believes that orders have been given to tho officers of the Carpathia not to answer any queries. Mr. Joseph Brucs Ismay, chairman of directors of tho White Star Lino, who is one of tho survivors, is believed to have used his influence in preventing the transmission of news. Pathetic scenes continue outside the company's New York offices.
