HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
MONTHLY MEETING,
Tho Hospital Committee of tho Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board mot yesterday. There were present: Messrs. R. C. Kirk (chairman), G. London, G. Nash, W. Tompsitt, H. Baldwin, J. Trevor, B. R. Gardener,, J. Godbcr, and the Rev. H. Van Staveren.
The report of the committee, to be laid before tho board at its meeting on Tuesday next, contains tho following recommendations
That tho Central Mission Silver Band be granted permission to give a performance the first Sunday the Children's Hospital is occupied.
That the resignation of Charge Nurses R. Gilmer and F. E. 11'Lennan be accepted with regret.
That returns for tlie fortnightly periods ended March 18, April 1 and 15, and for the month of March have been adopted.
That Mr. Ales. Young bo appointed assistant dispenser, vice Mr. Breen resigned.
That a letter of thanks be sent to Messrs. MacMahon and Donnelly for tlieir cheque of .£ls Is., being proceeds of an entertainment for extras for the sick children at Eastertide.
That a 9 the plan of Messrs. Crichton and M'Kay shows the accommodation asked for at- a considerably lower cost than that of tho building as designed by another firm, the firm named be employed to carry out the new outpatients and pathological block, if proceeded with, and that' in the meantime they be requested to modify their plan to still further reduce tho cost.
