Christcliurch, April 13. Writing to Colonel Cossgrove, dominion Chief .Scout, General Sir Baden-Powell
says he is travelling' for rest and change, mul asks to bo excused from all entertainments and receptions. lie is particularly averse to guards of honour and escorts. Hj will coniino his attention to the inspection of boy scouts and give explanatory lectures. He. will be delighted to witness whatever the scoutmasters cave to show him, except military parades and drills. The General has threo assistants travelling with him, Messrs. Van liaalte, Insole, and Wrough ton. ■
